An Indian Online Lottery, Available Worldwide
Each state in India has its own restrictions on gambling, and though several states – Sikkim, Goa and West Bengal, amongst others – allow retail lotteries, some don’t. These state-by-state restrictions can also affect jackpot amounts, so that top prizes are relatively small in each jurisdiction. This is where Lotto India comes in.
Lotto India is a new online lottery, and the first of its kind: a national lottery for Indian people, available to play in every state and from locations around the world. It is one of the larger Indian online lotteries available, with an impressive jackpot of at least €500,000 (roughly र3.9 crore) – larger than many state lotteries. Tickets start at only €0.50 (approximately र39).
How to Play
Lotto India is simple to play and is available exclusively online. The first thing you need to do is create an online account - you can do this using your computer, tablet or smartphone. Once you've done that, pick six numbers between 1 and 50 and one Joker Ball between 1 and 5. You can play one panel (entry) for a single draw, or you can play multiple panels and subscribe for a month or three months at a time.
All you have to do then is pay for your numbers and wait for the draw to take place. Draws are held every Tuesday at 05:00 PM IST, and the winning numbers are published on our Results page straight after.
Anybody over the age of 18, or over the legal age to gamble in their home jurisdiction if it is higher than 18, is eligible to play Lotto India. The game is available across India and in other countries around the world, making it available to Indian nationals, residents, expats and anyone else who wishes to join in!
In every Lotto India draw, six winning numbers between 1 and 50 are randomly selected, with an additional number, called the Joker Ball, drawn from a separate pool of 1 to 5. Since the Joker Ball is drawn separately, it can be the same as one of the numbers in the main draw. The numbers are picked using an iRNG, or Insured Random Number Generator. The innovative lottery technology also time-stamps each draw for added protection.
Lotto India Prizes
All you have to do to win a prize is match the numbers on your ticket with the winning ones in the draw you entered. There are three different prizes you can win, and the overall odds of winning a prize are a generous 1 in 3.
If you match all six main numbers and the Joker Ball, you are guaranteed a share of the €500,000 jackpot. Match two to six numbers and you win a fixed prize of €0.50 (र39), and if you match the Joker Ball, the Free Bet Bonus gives you a free entry to use in a future draw.
What's more, you can win the €0.50 prize and the Free Bet Bonus on the same panel. For example, if you match two numbers plus the Joker Ball, you'll get both prizes.
If you win a share of the jackpot, it will be paid in a single lump sum, as opposed to in instalments. If you and any other players guess all six main numbers and the Joker Ball, the jackpot is split equally between you. The odds of matching all six numbers and the Joker Ball stand at 1 in 79,453,500.
Sometimes, special Bumper Draws are held, offering even larger jackpots than usually on offer. Bumper Draws are held in the same way as any other Lotto India draw, but with a bigger main prize - sometimes as much as €5 million (र38.9 crore)! Other prizes remain the same, so matching two numbers still yields a prize of €0.50. As these Bumper Draws are special events, there is only one chance to win the higher jackpot on offer. If no one matches all six numbers and the Joker Ball, the prize will not roll over and the next draw's jackpot will be €500,000.
